I haven't been here for a while, I got bored, looks like many others that I used to know have as well.
Life is good for me, still working at the same place, 27 years now, still not smoking, nearly 3 years. I'm going to have a delve through the latest blogs now to see whats happening out there and try and catch up with people. Back Soon |

Waffle
I haven't really anything to say but work has hit a quiet patch. I don't think I have mentoned our latest investmnet, a new front door, fitted just before Christmas in about 4 hours. This was not just the door (composite wood) but the surronding frame (in uPvc) and adjacent window (double glased) all for under £1400. The old one was pretty tatty and unsecure even after many repaints and refixes. Next big job will be an extension to the kitchen if we ever get round to it. Might pop into Kingston Saturday for a bit of shopping for the holiday, can't believe it is only a couple of months away. Time to go now Funman |

Another Year
Happy new year to you all, I hope everyone is keeping well. I have been pretty poor at keeping this blog upto date. Work is very busy and once I get home I just crash. We have just booked a little trip TO DISNEY WORLD, and go in March so not much time to save. I know the boy will love it. Only thing that worries me is that it is so early in the year to be taking a holiday. I like to go in the middle of the year it just feels right. Oh well just have to have another one I suppose. For Christmas I received a TomTom so I have been trying all sorts of different routes to work, fastest, shortest, avioiding toll roads the only one it doesn't do is one most likely to get you there stress free. What presents did you lot get , anything that you didn't want. Funman |

Checking In
It's been three weeks since I returned from a lovely holiday in Capo Vaticano,Calabria, Italy. The sun shone, the sea was as clear as glass and fantastic time was had by all. But alas it is now but a distant memory and my days are once again filled with the neccessary obligations of work so that I can aqquire the next small fortune to all me to leave these shores once more. In the meantime what do we have to look forward to in the coming months, Halloween, Guy Fawkes night and Christmas. For the first time since I can remember we have been invited to a Halloween party, this will mean dressing up no doubt probably go as a pumpkin as I cannot seem to stop eating. Still haven't decided what we are doing for xmas it may be that everyone comes to us which is pretty scary as the most I have ever cooked for is 6 and thatwas a chicken and a few spuds. How is everyone, all keeping well I hope, I have been catching up with those of you I can find. Well thats me for this evening catch you all later. Funman |

Long Time No Say
I must apologise for my slackness, I have had nothing to say of late, not that what I do say is really of any importance. Another birthday tomorrow and I shall be the grand old age of 42 and this year I will be getting one of these . I am looking forward to lots of lovely coffee.Next Tuesday sees us disappearing off to Italy for 14 lovely days of sun, sea, pasta, pizza and ice cream. I hope everyone is enjoying this great weather, I don't want to hear anyone complaining. Well I am off to scoff some chocolate Byeee |

Phew
So is everyone enjoying this lovely weather, I am. By the time I go on holiday I should be well tanned and will have to worry less about sunburn, I'll be smothered in factor 30 none the less. Spent a lovely time on the A3 this morning, was only about an hour late for work and I was leaving early to go to the boys end of school concert. Still enjoying the freedom of wireless, but I am having some issues with the signal splitters you plug in so that you can use the broadband without disruppting the phone line. I think I've had three now that haven't worked, the last one resulted in the phone being out of action for a month before I realised what the fault was. This was after BT had completed all their external checks 3 times. (Thanks BT). Anyone else having the same problem ? A very sweaty Funman

In the garden.....
....on a sunny summers Sunday afternoon. That's where I am today, soaking up the rays, drinking the odd beer, reading the papers, lovely. Not long till the Italian holiday, bought myself one of those beach tents today, £7.00 from Tesco's. It will be handy for the boy, keep him shaded and also somewhere to stash all the bits and bobs we take with us. This will be the first year that we don't take the buggy which we usually use to transport all the beach paraphonalia so will have to think of other options. We will probably have the kids surf board , snorkelmaskflippers, bucket and accompanying spades/tools, footballs, bat'n'balls, inflatable something, towels, cameras, food and ourselves (I've probably forgotten something). It's ok going it's the coming back at the end of the day bodies all salty and sandy, roasted by the sun, mouths dry and the 4 o'clock sun beating down overhead. Why 4 o'clock, well we like to get back a nd spend a couple of hours by the pool, its very refreshing, and it's usully a bit quieter then. Oooh I cannot wait roll on the 15th August. I can hear the neighbours now, eating "al fresco" with their families, a plane flies far overhead. Well I'm off for a quick paddle. Cheerio Funman
